- The MTBE premium is stable- The gasoline-naphtha spread shrinks further

Spot European MTBE prices dropped Nov. 17
due to a weakening crude and gasoline complex. European MTBE prices dropped by $12.50-17.78/mt
due to lower gasoline prices. Although the trade was at $1,084/mt to
trade 1,000 mt front-end loaded, it did not change the premium from the
previous day. The premium for the front-month gasoline swap
was $321.25-336/mt FOB AR. ETBE prices dropped to $1,119-1,139/mt
FOBAR Nov. 17, following similar markets. The premium remained steady at $30.25-35.50/mtFOB
AR amid no changes in market fundamentals. The spread
between front month gasoline and front month naphtha decreased by $9.50-10.70/mt,
from Nov. 16 through $97.50-102.89/mt November 17, which indicates weaker
blending economics than the day before.
