Asian FOB Singapore prices for MTBE rose
$21.50-26.50/mt per day to $1,084.50-1,100.50/mt on July 19, due to rebounding
gasoline 92RON and firmer crude oil markets. The gasoline 92 RON was at $113.99-130.50/b, up
2% days. Meanwhile, the front-month ICE Brent crude oil futures were up 2.87% daily at $106.44-120.25/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). Market
news: No MTBE derivatives instruments settled on Chicago Mercantile Exchange in June 2021 for the first time, after 5,000 mt in May. CME data indicated. The open
interest in June was 5,000 mt. MTBE futures trading was in a lull for seven months straight due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict's growing uncertainty
and high levels of volatility...
