spread maintains backwardationAsian FOB Singapore MTBE dropped $8.58-9.50/mt
to $1,056.77-1,100.50/mt on Aug. 19. This was due to heavy selling of H2
September-loading cargoes which were unable to take advantage of firmer
gasoline prices and oil markets. Saudi
Aramco made a firm offer to purchase 2,000 mt of loading cargos over September
24-28 at $1,029-1,050/mt. The seller was able to find a buyer at PetroChina. The 92 RON gasoline rose 0.69% to $108.54-120.50/b.
Meanwhile, the front-month ICE Brent crude oil futures were higher by 1.67% at
$95.55-100.50/b at 04:30 GMT (0830 GMT) The
