Asian MTBBE: $24-30/mt Rises in Bullish Energy Complex■ FOB Singapore/FOB ARA MTBE Spread hits record high■ 92 Ron rises 1.87%; crude oil up 3.27% for the day





Due to a stronger energy complex, the Asian
FOB Singapore MTBE rose $24-30/mt and reached $1,281-1,310/mt on the first day. By 4:30 PM Singapore Time
(0830 GMT), the front-month ICE Brent crude oils futures had risen 3.27% to
$117.02-130.25/b. This was due to a
higher-than-expected US inventory draw and a slight increase in OPEC+
production increases. The 92 Ron rose
1.87% to $147.60/b. Paper-open Asia to
Europe MTBE arbitrage window has resulted in a flurry of Chinese MTBE cargoes
heading to Europe. The spread between FOB
Singapore MTBE and FOB ARA prices for MTBE was $554.75-580.50/mt on June 2.
