Morvarid Petrochemical resumes production at MEG unit

Morvarid Petrochemical has brought on stream its Monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit. A source in Iran informed a team member, “The company has resumed operations at the unit last week following an unplanned outage. The unit was shut in mid-June 2025 owing to geopolitical tensions in the region." Located in the Pars Special Economic Zone, Asaluyeh in Iran, the unit has a production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
