US April DDP-benzene rose
3c/gal to 408c/gal on April 21 after an increase in WTI crude oil futures. WTI crude futures increased by $1.60/b to settle on April 21 at
$100-120/b The benzene to crude ratio
dropped to 1.65, from 1.66 on April 20, but is still lower than the annual
average ratio of 2 in 2021. The
fundamentals were largely unchanged and benzene prices remained on track with
crude futures for the week that began April 17. However, there was word that South Korea is expected to
import more benzene in June. According to
estimates, South Korea's benzene exports to the US totaled 66,579 tonnes (mt
April 1-20) and are expected to arrive in June. This...
