Asian paraxylene rose $2/mt to $920.67/mt
CFR unv1/China Dec. 14. On Dec. 14, crude oil and naphtha
were bullish. The February Brent crude futures rose $1.33/b on the day to
$80.54/b. The C&F Japan naphtha marker rose $1.13/mt
to $640.125/mt Dec. 14. PX-naphtha spread widened to
$280.55/mt per day, from $279.67/mt. According to
an Asian trader, PX was operating on its own fundamentals and rising oil prices
weren't having much impact on its price. The trader
stated that the recent price fundamentals have been more related to downstream
purified Terephthalic Acid and Polyester demand. This is because greater
