Asian MMA/PMMA: China demand weakens amid lockdowns Tight supply still leading MMA higher PMMA prices stable to higherAsian methyl methacrylate was up week-on-week with China
increasing $16-20/mt at $18,825-18,875/mt April 13 and CFR SEA rising $50-55/mt
to $2,050-2,080/mt. Due to the difficulties in logistics in East China, China's
demand was low. "Demand is very low
in China. A northeast Asian seller and
producer of polymethyl methacrylate stated that April's [sales] volume will be
much smaller than March's shipment. A
trader however stated that tighter supplies were supporting and increasing
prices. PMMA was valued at $2-3/mt, an
increase of $25-30/mt over the previous week. CFR Southeast Asia was steady at
$2.400-2.800/mt. Despite the weak demand
from China, FOB China MMMA prices were heard at $2,225-2,255/mt on April 13 and
were stable at $2,400-2,425/mt. Some
