Asian MMA prices dropped by $5/mt in a week, to $1.335/mt, CFR China, on April 9. Southeast Asia also saw a $5/mt drop over the same time period, to $1.465/mt, CFR SE Asia. The uncertainty caused by Trump's tariffs has impacted Asian markets. Buyers are adopting an "await-and-see" approach. Sellers reported that buyers did not respond to low offers, and the market seemed to be disappearing. The offers across Asia declined, but not significantly lower than in the previous week. Sources said FOB China prices remain stable from week to week. Sources said that FOB China offers under $1,300/mt for late April to May shipments were scarce and buyers showed little interest.
