On April 30, the Asian MMA Market was down $20/mt from last week, at $1280/mt, CFR China, while Southeast Asia was down $30/mt, at $1380/mt, CFR SE Asia. A source said that the market in Asia looked worse than it did last week. Sales were also looking more difficult. The source said that inventory pressure was increasing in South Asia. However, operating rates were still high, at around 100%, for one producer. Sources said FOB China MMA offered were down slightly week-on-week, at around $1,280/mt for May loading cargo.
