Asian MMA: Low demand and low spot liquidity■ CFR China PMMA falls $70-75/mt in a week of tepid demand■ S Korea's MMA exports to the USA and Netherlands surge
in JulyThe Asian methyl methacrylate market and
the polymethyl methacrylate market continued to fall, owing to stagnant demand
in Asia and lower spot availability during the turnaround season. The Asian methyl
methacrylate CFR China marker remained flat at $1,601-1,630/mt on Aug. 24, despite
a stable domestic market in China. The CFR
SEA MMA marker was down $26-31/mt on the day to $1,900-1,930/mt. This is due to
a weaker downstream PMMA CFR Southeast Asia Market. The CFR SEA PMMA marker, which is a downstream Asian
polymethyl methacrylate CFR China, was assessed at $2,200-2,240/mt, down $25-30/mt. The tepid demand for CFR China PMMA saw it tumble $70-75/mt...
