Mitsui Chemical is operating its cracker at curtailed rates. A source in Japan informed a team member, “The cracker is expected to operate at reduced rates through March 2026 due to feedstock availability issues amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.” Located in Osaka, Japan, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 500,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 280,000 mt/year.
