The monthly-one June contract propane swap
was $510-530/mt on May 10. The
FEI propane trade for June was $533/mt. This was based upon a FEI-CP heard
bid-offer of plus $22-$24.50/mt. This equated $510-525/mt. The June CP swap was $45-50/mt lower than the May term CP. The
backwardation for the June-July CP Propane swaps was $1.50-2.70/mt, up 50
cents/mt that day. Meanwhile, the structure of the July-August CP Propane swaps
was $3.50/mt, which was stable on that day. Trade sources reported that Kuwait Petroleum Corp. met with
some participants from north Asia in the week of May 13 to discuss term
contracts. The rate for Very Large Gas
Carrier on the main Persian Gulf to Japan route was $86.50-91.75/mt....
