Asian methanol prices fell in the week
ending June 10, as a large supply of methanol weighed on sentiment. However,
crude oil and coal markets in China were still positive. China's coast inventory
will continue to grow due to steady methanol cargoes coming from Iran and other
Middle East countries. In the week ending
June 10, the market heard shipping inquiries for approximately 100,000 mt of
methanol loadings from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman to China, Taiwan, and
South Korea. Ethanol prices downstream
have fallen from $1,310-1,340/mt CFR Northeast Asia's intra-year peak to $1,010-1,050/mt
by June 10. Propylene prices in China
remain stagnant at $1,030-1,060/mt CFR...
