Asian methanol prices remained stable on
Feb. 20, as buyers remained cautious about buying import cargoes. Trade negotiations were sparse in India, while
ex-tank offer were stable around Rs 26.50/kg. "None
wants to sell cheap," an importer said. A Middle East seller said they
were sold out for March shipment cargoes and had sold to other regions to fetch
more favorable netbacks. The overall outlook for March supplies remained
unclear due to tighter supplies from Iran and a price disparity between bids
and asks, which kept traders cautious about booking volumes. Meanwhile, a
15,000-mt H2/end-March arrival Algerian cargo was heard traded to a party at
around $290-$300/mt, market sources said, though exact price details and
