India Methanol: Prices slip $10/mt in a week due to expected supply Healthy Iranian supply expected in April / Prices in adjacent markets decline

The price discussions on the Indian methanol markets weakened during the week ending March 28. This was due to the steep backwardation and the expectation that several cargoes would be en route from Iran to India by April, following the restart of certain Iranian methanol factories. Discussions in dollars were reported to range between $295 and $305/mt, CFR India. The bid price for second-half arrival cargo in April was around $295/mt, while the selling interest ranged from $300-$305/mt. The range of $295-$300/mt for H2 April cargoes was heard by buyers.
