petrochemical conference. China was also closed for the weeklong National Day

Chinese methanol prices are expected to rise on Oct. 8, when the market
reopens. This is because ICE Brent futures reached a one-month high after OPEC+
announced it would reduce production by 2,000,000 b/d between November and
December 2023 due to tight methanol supplies in China. Sources said that domestic methanol prices rose by Yuan
100/mt each week. Yuan 2,940/mt in Lubei
