India Methanol prices ease amid mixed market conditions Buyers eye inventory replenishment The interest in spot buying is increasing No shipments affected by port blackouts during India-Pakistan conflict

The Indian methanol industry had few trade discussions on May 9, with the outlook for the market being mostly mixed. Indian ex-tank talks were stable. Hazira prices were maintained at Rupees 26,25-26.50/kg, while Kandla & Mumbai offered ex-tanks in the Rupees 25,50-25.75/kg. End-users said that importers were not lowering their prices because the inventory gap was still present. The CFR trade activity for June arrivals was light but slightly softened. Bids were heard at $260 to $264/mt CFR India after an earlier trade at $260/mt. Sources said that Hazira saw a higher level of buying interest, at $270 to 275/mt. However, there was limited interest in selling from the Middle East. Formula, June arrival spot talks were heard at an increase of at least 2% above the CFR India formula...
