Sources said that the prices of ex-tanks in India were mixed due to limited port inventories, which led to a tighter than usual supply. Market sources reported that ex-tank prices were varying widely at Kandla, ranging from Rupee 28,50-29.50/kg. Mumbai offers were higher and ranged between Rupee 30,50-31.50/kg. This was because only a handful of traders had the material in stock. Mumbai ex-tank offers were lower for deliveries starting on April 14, around Rupee 29,29.25/kg. Mumbai ex-tank offers for deliveries beginning April 18, around Rupee 27, were also heard. The price of ex-tank Kandla cargoes that are due to be delivered between April 20 and May 1 was Rupee 26-26.25/kg. Hazira's stock was also very limited.
