11. The ICE January Brent crude oil prices were up $3.6/b on the day at
$95.95/b by 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), Nov. 11. On the Dalian
Commodity Exchange, the January 2023 MEG futures contract was active and traded
at Yuan 3,873/mt. According to S&P Global Commodity Insights data, MEG
prices remain at a two-year low. According to traders, inventories were
less than 100,000 mt. A producer stated that MEG margins would remain
subdued in 2023 because capacity additions have significantly outweighed the
demand. This has led to operating rates hovering below 60% in China. In
