imports rise due to higher futures markets and increased demand following
China's COVID-19 reopening. The
ICE March Brent crude oils futures contract increased $1.6/b to $ 84.06/b by
4:30 PM Singapore time (0830 GMT) January 13. The most traded May MEG contract on Dalian Commodity
Exchange rose Yuan 60/mt to Yuan 4,345/mt exc-tank. The latest in plant news is that Taiwan's Nanya Plastics
Corp. (a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Group) will close its No.2 MEG facility
from April and increase operations at its No. A company source stated Jan. 13 that the 1 MEG unit will be
increased to 100% from 70%. Company will
also close the No. 3 MEG unit...
