grades plunged. China's
domestic prices fell for six consecutive days due to sluggish downstream
demands. However, promises of a post Lunar New Year surge were not fulfilled. The downturn was exacerbated by bearish futures market
showings and low CFR trading activity. Sources
said that sharp increases in the upstream propylene markets did not provide
support, as most PP plants have been integrated. One trader based in China said that he expected prices to
remain soft until February. According to
