Asian toluene prices fell on February 15,
the day before rollover. This was in line with the lower crude oil futures. Midafternoon Asian trade saw crude oil futures
continue to decline as investors waited for stronger signs of China’s demand
recovery. The dollar strengthened on the backs of higher than anticipated US
inflation data. Spot negotiations were quiet with an $845-860/mt
bid being heard earlier in the trading session for 2,000 mt ASTMD-841 cargo, H2
march loading. Tradable indications of March-loading cargoes
were received at $860-880/mt FOB Korea. An industry
source stated that "[Everyone] is] waiting for [the] blending season now.
It's difficult to move [except] for] India [buying]." Industry
