Spot US export polyvinylchloride prices were up $25-30/mt on week March
2. Based on deals made in a range between $1,575-1,610 and $1,585-1,620/mt FAS
Houston. These prices were used to
assess the range. This range represents a
producer-to trader price and does not include freight or insurance. The domestic PVC price was unchanged from week to week at
95.5-97.5c/lb, as the market contemplated 3c/lb price hikes for March by all
four US PVC manufacturers. According to
sources familiar with operations, Formosa Plastics, which has reopened its
Point Comfort, Texas PVC unit producing 798,000 mt/year PVC, has completed a
