Asian isomer-grade mixedxylenes rose
$22.50/mt during the first trading day of 2023, Jan. 3, to $836/mt FOB Korea,
$862/mt CFR Unv1 and $28/mt $846/mt CFR China. Trader bullish on China's COVID-19 relaxations
prompted February-loading FOB Korean cargoes to be the focus of bidding. Over
January-February, the Chinese domestic market was in a conga. January's price
was Yuan 6,850/mt or $845.40/mt if you use import-parity, while February was
Yuan 6,900/mt or $851.70/mt. At 0830 GMT, the March ICE Brent
crude oils futures contract climbed 2.47/b to $86.19/b.
