The US import polyethylene Terephthalate
price was down 3 cents/lb from the week of June 29, to $2,116-2,138/mt
(96-97c/lb) DDP US West Coast. This is based on lower pricing indicators and
softer demand in Asia. According to market sources, import
pricing for material imported into the US West Coast ranged from the low 90s to
the high 90s. The past week has seen prices below 100 cents/lb
in previous weeks. This is because PET prices in Asia are declining. On June 29,
the FOB Northeast Asia PET marker was flattened to $1,220-1,250/mt, while the
CFR Southeast Asia marker was flattened to $1,290-1,320/mt. Since June
