Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene
prices were assessed down $30-35/mt on the week at $1,510-1,530/mt CFR China
and at $1,560-1,580/mt CFR Southeast Asia on the week to July 20. Due to the low demand for Asian ABS in Asia, the
week of July 14-20 was weak. This is due to the high downstream inventory and
lower final product orders in both the domestic and export markets. The price
offered dropped $20-$30/mt during the week to $1,520-1,530/mt. However, the
buyer's indication was heard at $1450-1480/mt CFR China August arrivals. On an
import-parity basis, the China domestic price trended down from Yuan 200-250/mt
during the week to Yuan 11,550-12,000. Sources said
that the downstream inventory grew in the post-Lunar New Year period due to
bullish...
