The fundamentals of the Asian Ethylene
market were unaffected by participants' comments on June 15. Participants spoke
of low demand and high supply. As
buyers stated that they weren't urgently seeking July-arrival cargoes, firm
discussions were limited. Some sellers
preferred floating cargoes at a $15-20/mt premium over CFR Northeast Asia to
buyers who were willing to pay a $5-6/mt premium. South Korea's truck drivers' strike ended, which provided
relief for cracker operators, as derivative deliveries can resume and operating
rates can be adjusted. The adjustments
