Sources said that Asian linear low density
polyethylene rose slightly in week ending Jan. 11. This was due to low
inventories in the region. Due
to upcoming closures in the region, traders expect more restocking of the markets
and slower bullishness. South Asia's
prices have risen this week due to a shortage of supply, as an important
producer in India cut its supplies. On the
domestic market traders offered LLDPE at Rupee 5-6/kg higher than the company’s
list price. A trader in India stated that
while we are building inventory, we aren't trying to liquidate stock. Customers
