linear low-density polyethylene was largely stable in the week to Jan. 25, due
to holidays in the region, sources said. The ICE March Brent crude oil futures
contract dipped 34 cents/b on the day to $86.17/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time
(0830 GMT) Jan. 25. In plant news, Saudi Arabia’s Sharq, or Eastern
Petrochemical Company, keeps shut its 400,000 mt/year linear low density
polyethylene line due to an outage at Al Jubail since Jan. 5, a company source
said. It is one of the three LLDPE lines totaling 1.15 million mt/year, and the
outage is expected to be repaired by the beginning of February, the source...
