Asian polyvinyl chloride prices were mixed in the week ended Dec 17, with most participants adopting a wait-and-see mode ahead of January offer announcements. PVC CFR China prices steady week over week at $640/mt on Dec. 17. PVC CFR Southeast Asia prices were assessed unchanged over the same period at $600/mt. Market activity was described as thin, with participants indicating limited transactions before new offers for January loading, which are expected to be announced next week. “Everyone is waiting for next week’s offer, so this week [the] market activity is thin,” a Southeast Asia-based producer said.
