LG Chem runs EDC unit at lowers rates

LG Chem has cut run rates at its Ethylene dichloride (EDC) unit in Yeosu. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is heard to have been operating the plant at reduced rates since mid-September 2025. Operations are expected to remain curtailed through the fourth quarter of 2025. Confirmation from an official source could not be obtained.” Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the unit has a production capacity of 1.35 million mt/year.
