LG Chem completes turnaround at cracker

LG Chem has restarted its cracker following a turnaround. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company has resumed operations at the cracker in early December 2025. The cracker was shut around October 13, 2025, for maintenance.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 1.27 million mt/year and propylene production capacity of 700,000 mt/year.
