Downstream demand is weak in the northeast, Southeast AsiaPrices of Asian
low-density plastic ethylene were mixed on April 13, as crude oil prices
remained above $100-110/b and demand continued to be slow. The ICE
June Brent crude oil futures increased $4-5/b to $105-110/b by 4:30 PM
Singapore time (0830 GMT), April 13. According
to converters, end-product offerings in Southeast Asia and the northeast were slow. China had a shortage of drivers to transport goods because
of the lockdowns. The business was slower in Southeast Asia because Ramadan was
approaching and the Songkran holidays in Thailand. Due to higher freight costs and smaller parcel sizes of
dutiable cargoes, prices in Southeast Asia were more expensive...
