The spot US export polyvinylchloride prices
were $10 lower in the week ending Nov. 16 due to lower pricing indications and soft
demand. Prices
were set at $650-$660/mt FAS Houston. The base range is $630-$640/mt. An additional $20 will be added to cover higher drayage
trucking and storage costs for packed material in warehouses that are awaiting
export. The assessment does NOT include
freight, insurance, or margins. According
to a source, prices were as low as $620/mt FAS. However, this level was not
confirmed as of Nov. 16. According to market
sources, Latin American PVC demand is improving but buyers are still cautious
due to recession fears. PVC exports were
