KKPC operates ABS unit at lower rates

Korea Kumho Petrochemical Corp (KKPC) runs its Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) unit at curtailed capacity levels. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company has been operating the unit at around 50% of its production capacity through September 2025. The reason for the reduced operating rate could not be determined, and no confirmation was obtained from an authorized company representative.” Located in Ulsan, South Korea, the unit has a production capacity of 250,000 mt/year.
