Keiyo Monomer likely to restart VCM unit

Keiyo Monomer is planning to bring its Vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) unit on stream next month. A source in Japan informed a team member, “The company is expected to resume operations at the unit by early December 2025, following a prolonged outage. The unit has been shut since April 22, 2025 owing to fire.” Located in Chiba, Japan, the unit has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year.
