The US spot acrylonitrile price fell for
the sixth week in a row on June 28. This was due to falls in key global markets
and last market indications. US spot ACN prices dropped $45-50/mt
week-on-week on June 28, with US Spot ACN trading at $1,910-1,940/mt FOB US
Gulf Coast. This assessment is the sixth consecutive drop in
pricing. Despite the lackluster market activity in June,
the assessment considered a $45-50/mt drop in the CFR Far East Asia marker and
the CFR Southeast Asia marker. Sources previously stated that they
expected a further drop in prices due to falling feedstock propylene or ammonia
