- July PX AP negotiations fail to resolve- Unv1’s OPTC plans for PTA to be reinstituted



Asian paraxylene fell $6.25-7.50/mt to
$1,253-1,290/mt CFR unv1/China on June 30, and $1,233-1,250/mt FBO Korea on
June 30. Trades
were quiet amid rangebound downstream PTA September Futures in China. They
jumped 1.05% in the morning but dropped 0.03% per day in the afternoon session.
The closing price was Yuan 6,474-6,550/mt. The September Asia-origin cargoes were bought in the
floating market at a plus $33-35/mt compared to the September daily average of
CFR Unv1/China (DMOPT). Lay can bid for
August Asia-origin cargoes in the floating market were best at plus 40/mt
against August DMOPT. The lowest offer was at plus $48-53/mt for August DMOPT
