Due to softening demand, US spot export
polyvinylchloride prices fell $310-340/mt over the week of June 29. This was
based upon a firm offer at $1300-1325/mt FAS Houston. Prices were set at $1,310-1,320/mt FAS Houston.
The offered level was the highest, while the base range was $1,290-1,300/mt
FAS. An additional $20-25/mt was added to cover extra drayage trucking and
storage costs for packaged material stored in warehouses. Market
sources said that no deals were made at the $1300-1325/mt FAS offer price. This
is due to volumes remaining in warehouses, awaiting export, and continued logistics
