US July DDP-benzene fell 42.5c/gal to
570c/gal on July 5, amid a sharp drop in WTI crude oil futures. WTI crude futures dropped
by $8.08-9.25/b, to $99.55-105.25/b on 7/05/2009, a drop of 8.19%. The benzene/crude ratio was thus 2.40. This is higher than the historical average of 2.40, which

gasoline futures dropped 9.06% to $3.3536/gal on Jul 5. According to one source, benzene prices dropped as WTI crude
