Asian isomer MX fell $5/mt to $790/mt FOB
Korea at $810/mt CFR Unv1. But it was up $5/mt to $835/mt CFR China Dec. 14. Sources suggest that January's market is slow.
This was evident in the Market on Close assessment process which saw many
cargoes for sale in January, but no trades were made. Sources
claimed that this was due in part to paraxylene producers South Korea plans to lower run rates. Another source stated
that gasoline blending in Asia was very weak, while there was no demand from
the US. The lowest offer was $791-810/mt FOB Korea.
However, there weren't any takers so prices fell $5-6/mt. Paraxylene
