dropped $50-55/mt last week to $956-980/mt FOB Korea and $959-980/mt CFR
Taiwan. The CFR China marker lost $46-52/mt to $960/mt on Aug. 5, in line with
lower crude oil prices and slow demand for many downstream products. The October ICE Brent
crude oil futures fell $8.77-9.50/barrel on July 29 at $94.47-102.50/b by 0830
GMT in Asian trading on Aug. 5. Paraxylene
dropped $67.67-73.50/mt to $1,053-1,080/mt CFR Taiwan/China during the same
period. This narrowed the PXX-MX spread by $17.67-23.50/mt or $97-103/mt. PX-MX spread improved from June to July. However, South
