Asian Isomer: Stable amid a wait-and-see attitude / May cargo offers and bids remain rangebound / PX market participants concentrate on polyester downstream activities

On April 11, Asian isomer MX was stable at $653/mt FOB Korea, and at $678/mt for Taiwan. It was also stable at $678/mt for China. During the MOC a cargo to be loaded in May was heard last being offered at $659/mt, and heard last being bid at $650/mt. A cargo to be loaded in June was bid last at $651/mt. FOB Korea The laycan assessment was $653/mt FOB South Korea, below the offer but above the bid. This was stable since the afternoon peg. The Chinese ex-tank assessment decreased Yuan 40/mt from day to day. It was Yuan 5,893.33/mt. After a week full of fluctuation, the MX market is now stable.
