dropped week on week by $41-47/mt to $982-1010/mt FBO Korea and $982-1010/mt
CFR Taiwan. They were down $22.50 at 952.50/mt CFR China on Aug. 19, following
falls upstream as well as downstream. Paraxylene
downstream fell $47-52.50/mt to $1,065.33-1,100.50/mt CFR Taiwan/China last
week, with the spread of the PX-MX shrinking by $6-7/mt and $83.33-88.50/mt. The MX inventory in East China dropped below 20,000 mt, to
approximately 17,400 mt. The inventory was
at a similar level in September 2019, the last time it was this low was in
September 2019. The domestic Chinese
market was not showing much firmness despite shrinking inventory. It fell to
