Asian Iso MX: Prices drop $2/mt in a rangebound trade / East China MX Inventory falls below 20,000 mt / China imported 79,919 tonnes in February

On March 21, the price of mixed isomer-grade xylene in Asia was $734/mt, down $2/mt from last week. However, it remained stable compared to March 20. The week beginning March 17 saw less volatility, with prices ranging between $739 and $733/mt FOB Korea. According to market sources, although the demand from China was not unusually high, China's domestic inventory levels shrank week-over-week, with East China falling by over 10,000 mt, to below 20,000mt, and South China near zero. On an importparity base, the domestic China ex tank assessment was increased by Yuan 15/mt to Yuan 6,310/mt. This is about $753.20/mt.
