isomer-grade mixedxylene dropped $32/mt week-on week to $943/mt FOB Korea. It
was down $22.50/mt to $966/mt CFR Taiwan on February 3. This was due to higher
inventory in China and falling downstream prices at the end. April ICE
Brent crude oil futures were at $81.91/barrel in Asian trade at 0830 GMT, down
$1.22/b and $5.85/b for the week. According to market sources, the
inventory of isomer MX in East China increased by 74% over the past week,
reaching slightly more than 100,000 mt. This was the highest level in nearly
two years. South Korean producers are still considering cutting down on
paraxylene production in order to ship MX to the US...
