Asian spot styrene monomer prices were down
$41-46/mt to $1,271-1,300/mt CFR China marker. The China domestic price was
lower by Yuan 15-35,/mt on that day at Yuan 10,520-10,650/mt exp-tank. This
equates to $1,357-1,390/mt import-parity on July 6. Oil price crashes on July 6 put pressure on SM
prices. During the day trading session, spot and futures
prices slowed down. The August 2022 styrene futures traded on the
Dalian Commodity Exchange fell by Yuan 381-430/mt or 3.78% to settle at Yuan
9,703-9,800/mt Ex-Tank on July 6. Despite weaker forward prices the
prompt delivery in China continued to be strong due to low inventory levels and
