Asian Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene
dipped $5-6/mt on the week at $1,740-1,770/mt CFR China and $1,790-1,820/mt CFR
SEA on June 15, amid weakening upstream market and bearish demand. Market fundamentals were
stable but producers planned to increase the offer by $30-50/mt due to rising
raw material costs. The CFR China basis
was offered at $1,800-1,830/mt. This is a high level that market sources
consider too high due to weaker ABS prices and slow demand in China. Talks on the East China market were held at Yuan
12,900-13550/mt. This is a decrease of Yuan 50-100/mt over the previous week. Domestic cargoes are being negotiated below $1650-1680/mt on
an import parity basis, and all suppliers mentioned the difficulties in
exporting...
