Sources said that the Asian naphtha market
experienced a lack of spot trading activity on Nov. 8, with no tenders being
heard for a second day. This was due to the continued bearish outlook for the
sector. Refiners
reported that they had reduced rates for naphtha production, but the supply was
still sufficient. A producer stated that
although end-users had stayed away for the past week, they are expected to
return this week. At the Nov. 7 Asian
closing, CFR Northeast Asia ethylene was $180.50-200.75/mt. This is down $15.38-20.50/mt
from last week. This spread was lower than
